… but I may have also cheated with a strong cup of filter coffee, I’m sorryyyyy >,< It just smells so dayum delicious!
So I have very recently discovered the wonder that is juicing, with a slight difference.
When juiced most of the fibre in a fruit or veg is lost, so I have opted for blending into a smoothie rather than juicing with a juicer. This means a thicker drink with more calories, but it’s much more filling and for an extra 100-200 calories, you’re keeping the original fibre which would have been left behind in the pulp.
For example in this green cocktail I’m drinking for breakfast, I have a whopping 20g of fibre which would have been reduced to 2g with juicing. Thats almost 50% of your daily fibre needs reduced to 5%!In the next couple of weeks I’m going to aim to blend two meals a day and eat one solid healthy meal in addition. I’ll be comparing everything before and after about two weeks. :) Looking at how getting so many fruits and veggies a day effects:
